Movie Story: Superman: Doomsday was forced to tell an extremely truncated version of this story, so there’s a certain appeal in seeing characters like The Eradicator and Cyborg Superman finally appear onscreen. Reign of the Supermen provides a reasonably faithful adaptation of the 1993 comic book storyline. Most of the changes are made during the climax, allowing the film to better fit as part of the ongoing animated DC Universe Movies. As with The Death of Superman, there are some fun nods to the source material along the way, including a few neat comic book cover homages.
